What is National Council?
The Kappa Phi National Council of Chapters meets every two years. A council is like a convention or a conference where members of active and alumnae chapters, as well as Life Members and Members-at-Large, come together to exchange ideas, plan for the future of Kappa Phi, and enjoy the fellowship of sisters from across the country.
What kind of activities takes place at Council?
A variety of events happen during Council including:
-
Programming is usually centered on the National Program theme for the coming year and can be presented by guest speakers, study sessions, group events, etc.
-

-
Business meetings for handing affairs of the organization and for election of National Officers are held.
-
A fun night is a hi-light of the week when all join in on games, skits and singing.

A special service of recognition for our Legion of Light honorees is held.
-
Morning worship and vespers are observed in a variety of ways.
-
Installation of officers and a banquet typically closes the week.
